Falling of the Leaves and Closing of THE HAI

Aloha HAI Fans,

With the falling of the leaves, the picking of the pumpkins and the crushing of the grapes comes the winter closing of THE HAI.

Well sort of….

The beauty of living in sunny California is you never really close your pool, and you most definitely don’t close your spa, you just put things on pause.

This past weekend in 80 degree weather we winterized THE HAI. Which amounts to cleaning outdoor furniture, putting THE HAI accouterments away, tucking THE LOUNGE cushions out of rain’s way but still with in easy access and planting our winter crop.

So while it is a bit barer on the grounds we are ready for whatever mother nature throw’s our way this winter (PLEASE NOT ANOTHER HISTORICAL FREEZE MOMMA NATURE).

And there are upsides to the new Fall Look…more rough and tumble room for two Aussies I know, less things to clean (and destroy..again back to the two Aussies) and new veggies to look forward to harvesting in a few months (romaine lettuce, spinach, napa cabbage, onion and garlic).

And with the extra time not being spent floating on weekends there is plenty of time to think up new antics for next season and conjure up new cocktails and grilling recipes.

So take our lastest Moomba Mini Poll and tell us how you think we should spend the offseason.

Happy Halloween from THE HAI!
